WHAT TO EXPECT

Welcome to this week’s edition of EA-Pros, a resource designed to keep you informed, upskilled, and connected. It's time for you to thrive in your career.

A few points you should know about future editions:

  1. Urgency often pulls more out of us:

You may have noticed that there is a number in the email subject line. Every week this number will count down to the end of the year. Why you ask? Because the more you remain conscious of our most valuable commodity, the more action you will take to maximize the great value within you

  2. You will gain tremendously from this resource if you engage:

For credibility's sake, I think it’s important that I share briefly that I’ve coached and trained over 1,350 executive leaders, from C-Suite to doctors and pretty much everything in between. I share this with you simply because I believe assistants deserve the same caliber of high-level coaching, due to the nature of your work and the circles you lead in. I discovered towards the end of last year that many of you never receive the opportunity to access deeper levels of your potential through coaching. I hope this resource will change the lack of support you’ve received thus far. Know that you are getting over a decade of experience to help you thrive!

  3. Your feedback matters:

This is the first edition, and with your help, we will develop an invaluable resource for assistants. With that being said, please do not hesitate to hit the reply button and share any feedback or requested topics you’d like us to consider focusing on.

EA INSIGHTS

Towards the end of 2023, we conducted a study to determine the top challenges for assistants. This study was sent to over 1,000 assistants. Study revealed the #1 pain point for assistants is…

Time! (both in terms of management and strategy).

You've probably heard that time management is all about keeping a tight schedule and checking off tasks.

But what if I told you this is what those considered "just admins" do?

Recent insights suggest there's more to managing time, especially for you, the backbone of executive efficiency. The real issue is actually what we call, the "Priority Paradox."

What I'm about to share with you can help you escape the time maze, catapulting you to the status of MVA (Most Valuable Asset).

Let me explain:

Imagine each of your daily tasks is a thread in an intricate tapestry that is your company's success. Some threads are essential, adding depth and pattern; others are just fillers or low-return tasks.

The Priority Paradox isn't about the number of threads (tasks) you weave but about choosing the right ones that accentuate the grand design (creating optimal efficiency for your strategic partners).

When stuck in this paradox, your effort, no matter how intense, only adds to the background noise.

But when you crack this code, your work begins to highlight key features, drawing a direct line between your actions and the success of your strategic partners.

Now, some might say traditional to-do lists and productivity apps address this. However, they often miss the mark, simply adding to the noise without strengthening the impact of your hard work.

Luckily, there's a way to address this paradox and it's called "Priority Echoing."

Here's a little executive coaching to help you rethink and master this challenge...
